26: What was your favorite cartoon growing up?

There was an animated version of Winnie-the-Pooh that I was very fond of..

34: How far can you throw a baseball?

Not particularly far, maybe a few yards?  I can’t remember the last time I attempted it.

43: Coolest thing you’ve ever been for Halloween?

There was one year that my mother very characteristically dressed me up as a princess.  I was feeling creative, and it didn’t seem frightening enough to me at the time, so I shredded the bottom of the dress with scissors, and added dabs of ketchup for effect.  It nearly gave my mother a heart attack.

…I’m sorry, Mother.

2: White, milk, or dark chocolate mocha?

All of them are delicious, but I suppose my preference is milk chocolate mocha?

7: Most embarrassing moment from your elementary school years?

I kept mostly to myself at that age, and I remember very little of my interactions with others.. but there was a time during one of my parents’ parties when I accidentally fell and slid down the length of the stairs.  The adults were mostly concerned about me, but when I proved to be completely fine, most of them laughed about it.  I was too ashamed in the moment to really recall now if the laughter was good-natured or not.

9: Most embarrassing moment from your high school years?

…I once unintentionally told someone to kill my own brother.

24: Backpacks or satchels?

Satchels, definitely.  Though I often use an attache case myself.

elijah-brandt asked: I concur with that assessment. Would you provide another excuse to avoid work tomorrow night?

Certainly.  After the day we are likely to have, we both may need it.

elijah-brandt asked: *grins* The noodle stand is a passable alternative to upscale tastes then?

*laughs* I would certainly say so.  It also has the bonus of being completely free of ties to work, while an upscale restaurant is frequently.. not.

elijah-brandt asked: It was more than just a pleasure to have the opportunity to meet you, Vice ForeignMinister.

The pleasure was mine, Representative Brandt.  I look forward to the chance for many more discussions with you.  And if it includes a noodle stand again, I honestly would very much enjoy it.

For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again. F. Scott Fitzgerald (via calliec)
